Not sure what to say?

I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love for my grandpa. This is a testament to his legacy. His accomplishments outstanding, his contribution to this world honorable.

I am blessed to be a witness to the life of Jerome Alexis Brentar, a man who lived by the grace of God. We must not reflect in sorrow for this was not a man who lived in vain. A true humanitarian, he was committed to generosity, sacrifice and humility. My grandpa taught me the value of commitment. Commitment to...

Dear Dora and Suzi,

It was with great sorrow that I learned of your father's passing...though I only met him once, I knew of his compassionate heart through stories you told and articles in the newspaper...to walk through life with commitment, regardless of consequence, is to walk with honor.

As this winter turns to spring, may the memory of your father blossom in the hearts of all who new Jerome.

All my thoughts and prayers are with you,

Al Nicholas

Dora - While I did not have the honor of knowing your father, I understand that he never backed down from fighting for justice and that he was a deeply devout man, leaving this world a better place than when he arrived. My thoughts, sympathy and prayers are with you and your family - Lorrie

Dear Mary Ann and extended family, My deepest sympathies go out to you all for your loss. Losing someone you love is life's greatest heartbreak. Please find comfort that your dad/husband/grandfather is at peace with his son and his God. You will see them again one day.

My deepest sympathy to John Brentar and his family.

Our deepest Sympathy for the family of Mr. Jerry Brentar whom was a great friend of many including our family (Melinz & Prpic) for many years. My father Milan Melinz and mother Stephanie Melinz (Prpic) (both deceased) were great friends of Jerry and Mrs. Brentar and helped many Croatian immigrants settle here in the 1950's and 1960's together in Cleveland, Ohio. I too was a friend of Jerry and always enjoyed speaking with this true gentleman who was a real contributor and humanitarian to the...

I am very proud to have had Jerome as my uncle and Godfather. He was a great man and is now with his son Jerry. They are both very missed.

Mr. Brentar was a dear friend and an employer who was always ready to help. Mr. Brentar always saw to it that if you needed help he would be right there for you. A man of high principles, a family man and friend, a giant to the Crotian community as well as the German communities. A faithful singer and member of several clubs here in Cleveland. To his family my deepest sympathy and thanks for everything that Mr. Brentar and his family did for me personally as an employee. May he rest in...

Jerome Brentar was a part of our growing up in Cleveland. We have so many fond memories of our time on St. Paul's choir and he will be missed. To his family we offer our deepest condolances. We will keep you and Mr. Brentar in our prayers.
