Thousands called him “Doctor,” scores called him “Uncle” or cousin, and nine called him brother. I am one of the lucky few who also called him “Godfather”—and had an extra bond of sharing an August 6th wedding anniversary date. Uncle Jerome was a special, thoughtful man until the end. Deep condolences to my four cousins, and their children and grandchildren. xxoo

The word "hero" is bandied about too frequently these days in the media. In Jerry Dolan's case the word "hero" does even come close to defining the man. RIP

Uncle Jerome - so loved - so missed. Words alone cannot express just how special he was to us. How fortunate for us that he (along with Peggy Ann and Rich) was able to visit us in Bermuda in July 2006. It was a joy to listen as he shared stories about his Peg, the love of his life.

We love and miss you, Pop Pop Pop, but we're relieved to know you finally are not in pain. Please give GGMa big kisses from us. Enjoy the endless supply of vitamin "ook" and mini hot dogs, and keep whispering in our ears. We will carry you with us each and every day, and we pray for the insight and judgment to live our lives as purely as you lived yours. Much, much love and thanks.
