Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to hear of Mr. Geckle's passing. I worked at PHH for 20 years and during his tenure as President it was a great place to work. I still remember him coming around each Christmas to see everyone. It was always fun. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I remember Jerry for his warmth, generous personality and sense of humor, he was never afraid to poke fun at himself. A great business leader who led PHH through some of its most dynamic growth. As a former PHH sales exec. for 13yrs, I will always cherish his leadership and how his vision for the company and its employees made us all want to work hard and consistently deliver record results. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Jerry was a well respected leader at PHH. He was a people person and made everyone in the company feel their importance. People still talk about his in-person santa holiday wishes to all employee's. It makes me smile every year. My thoughts are with the family. Deb Watkins

I just heard of Jerry's passing this evening. My first memory of him was about two weeks after I had been hired in HR at PH&H. He popped open my office door and entered with a flourish during an interview with a job candidate. I was quite startled by this merry old elf, in a full native american feather bonnet trailing to the floor, announcing "Merry Christmas" to everyone in earshot. He gave hugs all around and then went on his merry way. If I recall the bonnet was a Christmas gift.

When I was the development director at Notre Dame Preparatory School, Jerry was the office's favorite volunteer and donor. He always greeted us with big bear hugs and he took all my calls....cheerfully and graciously. Both he and Mary were very generous to the school and it was because of them that the art program entered the digital age....with the first computer lab for art students. Jerry stands out in my memory as the embodiment of everything good in a business and philanthropic...

When I was a young professor just beginning my career at Mount St. Mary's College, and then for many years as the only woman department chair, Jerry provided support and encouragement. I was and will always be most appreciative. My sincere condolences to Karyn and the Geckle Family.

Please accept my sincere condolences. I knew Jerry as an outstanding leader in the business community and as a rabid Loyola Blakefield fan. Every Thanksgiving morning, I wait to hear his cheering for Loyola. If he was in the stadium, he could be heard. His spark will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Jerry was our friend and neighbor for not enough time. We learned so much from he and Mary and although our relationship was short, begining with his retirement until now, he was a great inspiration to us all. The mold is forever gone from this world but the spirit surely resides with our Lord. Hope to see you again dearest friend. Fond memories until then. God Bless all the Geckle family.

My heart is saddened, as this world has lost a wonderful, kind and giving man. It just won't be the same anymore. PHH changed when Jerry left and I know that the world will now change too.
