Not sure what to say?

I saw the obituary in the Los Angeles times, and I tracked down Ken. I spent a few hours with Ken, met the family, and we talked about Jerry, Lenni-Len-A-Pe, my camp memories and I gave him a few souvenirs from my years there 1955 through 1959. Jerry came to see me at Paramount Pictures with his mother Raye. It was so special to see Aunt Raye again; I have many wonderful memories of her and Uncle Morty. My deepest condolences to the Halsband family - such wonderful people.

With casual surfing, I find that Jerry has passed. He, Aunt Raye, Uncle Morty, Jay and all the "family" made an enormous difference in my life throughout the 1950´s and beyond. They are all sorely missed.

Always a smile and a happy greeting-many of us will miss him. Arthur and Marilyn Penn

Rennie, Nancy and I just heard today about Jerry. Not a week has gone by in the last ten years where Jerry and I haven't swapped jokes with each other via the internet. Big loss for the Camping Community and everyone who knew him.

You have my deepest sympathy. May the God of loyal love comfort the family during your time of sorrow. Psalm 119:76

Renee,
I mourn your huge loss of Jerry. To me Jerry was always a bright shinning light in all of mankind. Jerry loved people and life and we all loved Jerry in return. I will always think about and miss Jerry as a friend and as an outstanding human being. Fred Claar

So sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. I knew his parents, Ray & Morty as I was a Lenni Lenape camper for over 10 years & then my daughter was a Racquette Lake camper.

To Renee and the entire family we wish to extend our deepest sorrow in learning of Jerry's passing. Jen and Ben join us in sharing their happy memories of the RLC years and Jerry's talented leadership. He had a great sense of humor and could really convey a story or offer good advice. Our love goes out to you at this most difficult time. Vida & Richard Press

Sincere condolences to the Halsband family. Few people have provided the opportunity that Jerry did for so many people to enjoy a great life experience.
