Not sure what to say?

Dear Jerry, It's such a pleasure to receive this reminder. And also, I appreciate to give me an opportunity to see a message from my colleagues from the Spot in La Jolla. I was so please to hear from Mike Townsend mentioning individual names what I worked with at the Spot. Jerry, I become older every day, but I thank you what you did for me every morning and evening. When I met you when I was about my mid 20's, but here I am. I will be about my 60's in a few years. I must thank you again...

Toughest boss I ever had. Never worked so hard or under so much stress. But I survived and maybe that was the point of it all. Many memories of coworkers from 1991 to 1996 including Dee, Dan, Dan, John, Eric (#38), Vinnie, Jerry, Karen, Barbara, Kelly, Jocelyn, Linda, Diane, David #11), Paul, Jennifer x2, Ronit, Theo, Patricio, Alejandro, Chewy, Dong, Nagi, John (mgr), Dan (mgr), Dale, Mary x 2, Jeanne, Todd, Patrick, Kevin, Chris, Jo, and so many others - but of course Yasu too! Hope...

Great boss! I learned a lot working for Jerry in the 90s at The Spot. It was my 1st hostess/waiting job alongside SDSU friends- Tina, Kirsten & Jenni. Jerry ran a tough ship but always told me, "you´re a good kid". Thanks Jerry & Eileen!

I received an email from legacy today that it was the anniversary of Jerry´s passing, nearly 15 years ago. It bright back so many memories of Jerry (and Eileen). I worked for him as a hostess (!) for many years during the 80´s. I was in my 20´s. I learned a lot from working there and from Jerry´s example. Many of the people I knew there have also passed, including Alan Fields and Debbie Grainger. Anyway Jerry treated me very very well and it was fun to see him running his very tight ship. ...

Dear Jerry I just read my previous message which was over a decade ago. I always remember and appreciate what you did and lecture for me every single morning and evening during my prayer. With my appreciation, Yasu Leroy Eguchi from Japan

Jerry, I miss you BIG guy. I think of you often. I see people on occasion that remind me of you. Unfortunately no one can replace you. Miss you a lot.

Dear Uncle Grouchy,
It’s been ten years and I miss you as much as ever.
Your Goofy nephew,
Allan

A little late, but I worked for Jerry (with Gene Olson below, Alan Fields, Debbie Grainger and so many memorable others.). Jerry was a fine restauranteur and a great boss. The firings Gene speaks of are almost comical events by today’s standards. He had such a HUGE heart. He was a lovely man and I’ve never known anyone quite like him. I’m sorry for your loss, Eileen. He was one of a kind.

Best boss I ever had. Worked for Jerry at The Village Cupboard. What a great guy!
