Jerome Bruce “Moses” Malone passed away on July 8, 2023, at the age of 65.  While enjoying the beautiful waters of the Bahamas, his name was called to drink from the everlasting waters of the Lord.

He grew up in a home filled with love and laughter.  Following the blueprint of his upbringing, he knew the importance of loving the Lord, working hard, and providing for his family. After graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1976, he quickly entered the workforce. After 42 years of service at Inland Steel Mill and a member of Local 1010, he retired as a journeyman boilermaker.

Bruce will be forever remembered as a devoted and loyal husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  His memories will live on in the hearts of his wife Michelle Blanks Malone, children Essence, Austin (Danyelle), and Alexander “Dan” (Tiffany) Malone, stepdaughter Micaela Watson, grandchildren Emerson Malone and Emmanuel Bridges, brothers Palmer (Tina), Frank (Robin), and Simmie (Angela) Malone Sr., and Uncle Oscar Reeves.

Bruce was predeceased by his wife and high school sweetheart Carol Malone of 40 years, parents Lee Cecil and Sally Malone, brother Cecil Malone, sister Vicki Booker, and Uncle Horace Gotell.

Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure of working with my good and very reliable friend Jerome, at Arcelor Mittal for many years. He was a quick learner, we worked with blue prints a lot, not always easy, lot of numbers. Jerome had a great attitude and was happy most all the time. Am sorry for the family members, he and his wife Carole were a real team. We think of you a lot Jerome. Our love and memories of you. Carl & Mary Page

My prayers and condolences to Essence and the family. I'm sorry I just found out. Much love and peace for everyone

Sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. May the God of all comfort strengthen your family at this difficult time.

Sending my deepest sympathies to my dear best friend Kym, Micaela and The Malone Family, May God above carry you all through this difficult time, I know it´s hard but do know that God is with you all lean on him when it seems like the days and nights are harder than most. Love you dearly, my friend Kym

My condolences to the Malone family. I remember living a ew doors down the street from the Malone's when I was about 6,7,8 years old. I remember going to church with Mrs. Malone sometimes and playing around with Bruce. I remember the whole family. R.I.P Bruce

The members of Roosevelt Class of 1976 join in expressing our heart-felt sympathy and prayers in the passing of our classmate, Jerome Bruce "Moses" Malone. It is during these times; We can lean on God´s word to comfort us. For he said, "I will not leave you comfortless, I will come unto you". We realize that all relationships are dear, and we know that our all-mighty God is gracious and merciful. Cast your cares upon the Lord and he will give you the strength and courage needed to see you...

I send my condolences and prayers to Kym, Micaela, and the entire Malone Family. May God be able to give you Comfort and Cheer during this very difficult time. Just keep your hands in the Master´s hand, he will never leave you nor forsake you. God Bless you all.

To the Malone family, May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
