I met Judge Marks in the 1970s when I appeared in his courtroom as a young Assistant District Attorney in Manhattan.
Though we often disagreed on legal matters, he was always courteous, affable and a good listener.
His sense of humor was contagious, and his concern for people obvious.
May Almighty God give him eternal rest.

Whenever the Judge and his lovely wife were together with me and we had conversations about the state of the world, I felt good that there exist people who were so honest, so decent, and so committed to making the world a better place to live. I shall miss these meetings for the rest of my life.

We are very grateful that Judge Marks was family to us. We will miss the nightly phone calls about World events, politics, sports, "the law," and life's ups and downs.

My husband and I met as jurors in Judge Marks courtroom in 1987 and fell in love. Judge Marks married us a year later....he was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor.

What a sad day in the history of our time. Judge Marks was an amazing man, graced by the presence of a special soul. what a hero, what a great man who helped many others and wanted nothing in return, but, to find that elusive rare thing called JUSTICE!
