Not sure what to say?

My condolences to the Meredith family. It saddens me to hear of Jerrys passing. I played for Jerry for 5 years at St Anthonys from 79-83. In 83 we were first team to advance to Dioceses Championship game with a undefeated record. We lost . Jerry told us a story about his brother after the game that has stuck with me my whole life. More or less if u think you have it bad, there are a lot of people worse off, Shake it off and walk proud you dont hang your head. He made us respectable young...

Jerry was one of the most motivational, supportive coaches I ever had. I played on opposing teams during elementary school but was fortunate enough to have him as a coach when I transitioned to Marquette which he played a role in. Loved his approach to the game of football and life itself. RIP Jerry. JC, Jackie, and Jimmy my families hearts and prayers are with you guys.

I am saddened to read this. Jerry coached me at St. Anthony's around 1967 and 1968 on their church league teams. No only was he a great coach, but he taught us life skills, even at that age. He demanded we pay attention during practice & games, and he made us winners. I know he coached football and soccer, too. I can't imagine all the time he donated to Streator area sports. RIP Jerry, you are in my hall of fame. And thanks for being a Marine.

I would like to extend a deepest sympathy to the family. Basketball Coach at St Anthonys taught me all I know about the game. Will not be forgotten.

Please know we are thinking of you all at this time of loss. Our boys certainly benefited from Jerry's coaching them in their basketball endeavors.
May you all find peace in his passing.
