I offer my deepest condolences to the Murphy family. I got to know about Dr. Muphy through his daughter, Kat, who is my coworker. She shared stories and photos. She told me how excited Dr. Murphy was when the Cubs won the World Series. Rest in Peace my fellow Cubs' fan. Thank you for your service.

Jerry Murphy was such a good guy. Quiet, gentle, contemplative, smart, compassionate. All of these. I knew him, and his brothers, from Rainbow. The above qualities didn't prevent him from being fiercely competitive on the court, all the while a perfect gentleman.
