Not sure what to say?

Mr. Preston or "Jerry" as he insisted that I call him had been assigned to mentor me as a summer associate at FH&E in the summer of 1989. Jerry was and will forever be the embodiment of everything a young lawyer should aspire to become. His character, wit, wisdom and talent as an attorney are rare attributes among even the elite members of our bar today. I was lucky to have spent almost seven years at Foley and to be able to call Jerry my friend. I am the better for knowing him.

Another from the 'Greatest Generation' in God's care.
Thank you for your service.

I played in a recorder group with Jerry in the nineties. A truly wonderful and elegant gentleman.

Dear Dick and Michelle,

We are very saddened to learn of Jerry's passing. He was a wonderful host, a spinner of wide and tall tales, a jolly lover of art, music, and literature. We were lucky to know him, and you were blessed with a wonderful dad.

Love from Will & Anne

I remember the house addition on Vane, the dog "IVY", rides in the "old-fashion", Doffy's stories on Africa during lunch at Phillips, and the bow ties.
Thoughts of Fuller Brook

So so sad to hear of Jerry's passing. I was fortunate to live next door to the Preston's growing up and how I admired Jerry's bowties and classy, sophisticated style. I'll always remember how happy he was every single time I saw him and his beautiful smile. Laila (Elliott) Salli

Gawd love you, Jerry, the world is a duller, colder place without you. I think you always knew how much I loved you even if, as your obstreperous teenaged niece, I was not always pleasant, let alone kind and affectionate. We all will miss you. The hole in my heart will never quite heal.
