"JERRY" SOMERVILLE, age 81, beloved husband of Elaine (nee Golch); father of Michael (Deborah), Colleen Gilson (Sean) and stepfather of Wendi Fowler (Chris); proud "Papa" of Paige and Hannah Somerville and Jack and Emma Fowler; son of the late Ruth (nee Miller) and Raymond Somerville; brother of JoAnne Somerville (Joni), Sr. Karen Somerville, S.N.D., Donna Somerville-deceased, Patricia Alleiger (Jim), Bro. Jack Somerville, SM, Raymond (Mary), Timothy, Marian Theil (Tom), Ruth Fiala-deceased, Anne Dallapiazza-deceased (Rick), Margaret Lopez (Rutilo) and Martin-deceased (Diane); uncle and great uncle of many. Retired 60-year member of Pipefitters Local 120. Passed away August 29, 2025. Funeral Mass Friday, September 5, Our Lady of Angels Church (3644 Rocky River Drive) at 10 A.M. Elaine and family , Barbara and I were sad to hear of Jerry.s passing. He was a great friend who was my fishing buddy for many years in Long Key and helped me catch my first Tarpon. We enjoyed having him in our poker playing group. Jerry taught me how to cook a steak as we cooked steaks for 30to 50 people at annual meetings for many years. Jerry was my 1st brother in law. I remember going for rides in his corvette when I was little. He always had a pack of Lucky Strikes non-filter rolled up in the cuff of his t-shirt. We spent quite a bit of time socializing with the Somerville family whenever we'd come into town from NY. I have wonderful memories of Jerry throughout the years and wish the Somerville family peace throughout this final journey.
