Dear Dad, I don't think the reality that you are truly gone has fully hit any of us. You were such a special part of our lives and the girls' lives, and we miss you so much. I'm reading this at almost midnight on Tuesday, and I can't believe it. My deepest sympathies to you and the family. I pray that Jerry did not suffer for any extended period.

I know we only saw each other infrequently, but I thought of him as an old friend. He and you will be in our prayers.
