Not sure what to say?

Dear Libby and Mike and Kathy and Jim (forgive me, but my memories insist on calling you Jamie):

My mom let me know via an email message today that this online book was available - I didn't know such a thing existed!

As I start to type, what comes to mind is this question - "What words are possibly useful or helpful or even appropriate when a 'force of nature' (which is what Jerre was) leaves us?" And almost immediately comes what we know his response would have been had the...

Dear Libby,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. May your many memories give you comfort as
do the lovely tributes from students.

I can't think of Jerre as anything but young as at church in Shippensburg.

I think of Barb Scalamonga so many times and wonder if you still know her address. If you do I would like to have it.

I hope you are well.

Mrs. Gratz, You and your family are in my prayers. I was so sorry to see that Dr. Gratz had passed away. He was one of the most influential people in my life and I will remember him always. He was my business professor in the '80s and he instilled in me professionalism, strong sense of ethics, and a love for my work. He was an incredible mentor to so many of us at UTPAM. If fact, I have told stories to my 14 year old of Dr. Gratz and I can only hope he will someday have a professor as...

I too am a former UTPA student of Dr. Gratz. He shared some stories with our class about his military experiences and also listened to some of ours (there were 5 veterans in our class including me). He was a great guy!

My prayers and sympathy to your family. I was a graduate student at the University of Iowa when Dr. Gratz was the department chair. I remember him as the most energetic and positive educator--he certainly made an impact on his students. I don't know what (or Who) led me to search on line for my most memorable professors this evening, but when Dr. Gratz' obituary came up I was saddened and yet thankful to have the chance to express my condolences and share what an impact knowing him has made...

My love and sympathy go out to you Libby and your family. Jerre will be greatly missed. May God Bless you.

My condolences go to the family. Dr. Gratz was my professor at Pan Am in the 70's. A Marine Vietnam Veteran myself, we shared many stories. He was indeed a great man.

Our love and sympathy to you Libby and to Mike and Kathy and your family and friends. Elvia, Martha Jane, Jeanne and Patricia.

My prayers are with your family. Jerre was my professor at UTPA-Pan American in the 80's. He was a wonderful person. God Bless you and your family.
