JACKSON, Mississippi

Jerrie Lynn Davis, known to most as "Pennie Mae" and to some as "Bee", was born June 22, 1962 to the late Will Henry Davis, Sr. and Margaret Dennis Davis. Jerrie departed this life on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at St. Dominic Hospital surrounded by her family. Jerrie had a love for family first, fishing, football and living her life to the fullest.
Jerrie accepted Christ at a tender age and was baptized in 1979 at the Rose Hill Baptist Church in Doloroso, MS under the great leadership of Revered Allen Scott, where she had remained until sunset. Jerrie was a 1980 graduate from the Wilkinson County High School of Woodville, MS.
Jerrie is preceded in death by her parents, Will Davis, Sr. and Margaret Davis; one sister, Barbara Ann Prater; and three brothers, Roosevelt Minor, T.J. Davis and Will H. Davis, Jr.
Jerrie will truly be missed and is survived by her two daughters, Keturah Davis and Nakaya Davis of Natchez, MS; two brothers, Willie (Yvette) Davis of Waukegan, IL, and Freddie (Yvonne) Davis of Dolorso, MS; three sisters, Marie McDonald of Natchez, MS, Bobbie (Larry) of Jackson, MS, and Thelma (Robert) Davis of Natchez, MS; eight grandchildren: Keiora Davis, Kendrick Smith; Kenisha Davis; Keona Davis, Kendarius Davis, Trevontia Carter, Kelayshia Davis, and Da'Naveiyia Brown, all of Natchez, MS; one great-grandaughter, Kayleigh Davis; aunt, Mrs. Rose Douglas of Baton Rouge, LA; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins that Jerrie cherished; a devoted friend, Stephanie McDonald; and a son she never birthed, Kevin Smith.
