I was just looking up Jerry's address to send him a Birthday card a few days from now, when I found an obituary instead. Damn, This Hurts. I never met JI, but his effect on music has been an overwhelming joy on my life! Such a Cool dude. The Crickets are together again.

I could write a book about JI. We have been friends for 44 years. I was lucky enough to be with him and Joe B Mauldin., Sonny Curtiss and Gordon Payne in many different places over the years. We had many great times together and there was much more to JI than just the music. We told stories, had many many laughs, had many beers together also.
