My condolences.

I was just looking up Jerry's address to send him a Birthday card a few days from now, when I found an obituary instead. Damn, This Hurts. I never met JI, but his effect on music has been an overwhelming joy on my life! Such a Cool dude. The Crickets are together again.

Amazing drummer both in the group and on his own.such good music. Heartfelt sympathies to the Allison family, so very sorry for your loss, may God be with you all.

My very first memories of childhood include JI. I loved him like another dad and my life was so much better because I knew him

a legend and a great guy. i was lucky to meet him once and i will never forget it. one of the coolest guys on the planet.

I could write a book about JI. We have been friends for 44 years. I was lucky enough to be with him and Joe B Mauldin., Sonny Curtiss and Gordon Payne in many different places over the years. We had many great times together and there was much more to JI than just the music. We told stories, had many many laughs, had many beers together also. To me he wasn't a star, "he was just my friend"!!!!! My condolences go out to Joanie, my thoughts and prayers are with her at this trying time. All the...
