Not sure what to say?

To his family and friends at Gross Lumber,

I've known Jerry for 4 years now through Gross Lumber and building my log home in Springboro. I was shocked to hear of his passing and deeply saddened to have missed his passing. We developed a good friendship through the help and support he gave me building my home. For his gallant fight against cancer he amazed me of his optimism, kindness and having such a great outlook on life - a true inspiration. Words can't say enough about him,...

To Jerry's family,

I talked to Jerry only last week. I called him and he said he was in the hospital but thought he was improving, then I heard, on Tuesday, that he had passed away. I am deeply saddened to hear of his death. Jerry and I knew each other from years at Wolohan and I had the greatest respect for his business skills as well as his wonderful personality and integrity. He was one of the few consistently level heads in our meetings. I guess the thing I remember most...

So sorry Pam, and children, I just now went on line and received this from Joanne. I always thought of Jerry as a very great and special person by knowing him through you. God bless you during this time. Dorothy Mink and Guy

We were shocked to hear of Jerry's passing. I didn't know Jerry very well, he worked with my husband Tom at Wolohan Lumber. Tom had so much respect for Jerry, he was not only his boss but his friend. He will be greatly missed.

With our sincere sympathy
Tom & Elaine Ott

PAM & family, SO SORRY TO HEAR YOUR HUSBAND AND DAD HAS PASSED AWAY.( THE LOSS OF SOMEONE SO CLOSE IS DIFFICULT TO BEAR. WE SHARE YOUR GRIEF.) MAY GOD BE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AT THIS SAD TIME.

I was surprised and saddened with the news. Jerry and I would send e-mails to each other. We worked together 17 years at Wolohans. He was a Manager ' Manager. He was even tempered, I never saw him angry. He was the type of a boss you would do anything for. He never asked you to do anything he wouldn't do himself. We would work A Sunday a month early for sales. I knew he wouldn't eat breakdast so I would bring him Jelly Filled Donuts, his favorite. Jerry was a person you don't find every day....

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. Class of 1968.
