Jerry Bill Beckerdite

Jerry was a true friend and fellow brother at Sigma Pi fraternity. I met him shortly after I started SMS in 1956. I remember one alumni meeting where he drove me from Springfield to the St Louis on his way to Chicago. We had a blast for hours and laughed all the way. Jerry was full of stories and laughter. Bill was one of the first people I met when moving to E'town. He came to my home to register me to vote. He was a neighbor and an email buddy. He was one of the most jovial, always with a laugh and a friendly wave of his hand. He and Nancy were great neighbors and my husband and I miss them both.

We are very sorry for your loss. Bill was a loyal, reliable, and kind friend. His patriotism and civic duty was apparent in his daily life. We are grateful that he and Nancy were a part of our lives. We will remember his contagious laughter and he truly was one of a kind.

Bill was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed. Please accept my heartfelt condolences at this time.
