Jerry Boykin was a great boss and kind man. He gave me job in the bag room at LCC when I was young and in his quiet way taught me about responsibility and showing up. I still remember how much fun his summer barbecue for the staff was. I moved away from Cleveland a long time ago and regret I never made the effort to thank him and let him know how my career and personal life turned out. Thank you Jerry.

Always had an infectious smile and a kind word for those of us practicing at West Pines. I took several lessons from Jerry and enjoyed chatting with him about golf and life in general. A true gentleman.

Jerry and I played together on the Millsaps College golf team in the mid 1950s. I remember two things primarily--his classic, strong golf swing and his exceptionally warm and congenial personality. I send my warmest wishes, great memories and prayerful support to his family and many friends.
