Jerry Lee Clausen

I am writing this on July 25, 2020, after learning about Dr. Clausen’s death. When a graduate student at S.U., Dr. Clausen became my therapist - it must have been in the late 60s or early 70s. I discussed sexuality concerns with him. My sessions with him led to me gaining more confidence as a whole person, which in turn led to completing my Ph.D. and having a succession of useful careers. Memories fade as the years pass; but, I do remember frequent interaction with Jerry in medical school and I think I recall seeing him at least once at a class reunion. Now I am sorry I never looked him up while visiting
my sister in Manlius! Geraldine and I send our sincere condolences to his wife, family and friends.

Jerry was a man who placed friendship, faith, family and work as priorities in his life. Nancy and his children can be proud of his accomplishments. His comittment to First UU was enormous. His clients will attest to his sincerity and his friends tended to stay with him for decades. His was a life well-lived.
