Not sure what to say?

Today is six years since I got the tattoo of a dove on my foot. Every time I see it I think of Jerry. There's so much I wish I could say to him. John and Earlene, I know I don't see y'all much any more, but I want you to know I still love ya and think of you a lot.

Although I only knew Jerry through mutual friends, I did get a chance to see what a wonderful person he was and a great friend to many. I'm glad I got the chance to get to know him. No parent should ever have to experience the loss of a child and he will be greatly missed, but he is in the hands of God now watching down on all of us. My heart goes out to Jerry's family.

The Clouse family came into my life just a few years ago. Not enough time to get to know Jerry well. When I would go to his home, he was always in a hurry on his way to somewhere else. He had a full and busy life, many good friends and a loving family. Since his loss, I have become very close with John and Earlene and if he were still with us, I would now consider him family also. I love John and Earlene and have shed silent tears with Earlene over the loss of Jerry. Now, a year and a half...

Dear Earlene and family,
Our mutual friend, Sheila Toland, told me the sad news. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family, and please know that your friends at the Star-Telegram are thinking of you.
Since your retirement, I have missed you! You were always a bright spot in my day.

Sincerely,
James Lehr

I found out last night from Brock that Jerry pasted away. I am so sorry, I wished I stayed in touch more when I moved. I will miss him very much and the family will stay in my prayers. I miss you all.

We are very sorry for your loss and we will miss Jerry very much! He will be in our prayers.

John and Earlene,
My prayers continue to be with you. Jerry was a 6th grader when I became principal at Azle Elementary. He was a very smart, well-behaved young man. He was a joy to have in Sunday school class as well as at school. I still remember how proud for you we all were when God blessed you with that bouncing baby boy. Hold on to your memories and know that God will give you peace. Love to you both.

Jerry,
You have touched more lives than you could have ever known through your ability to talk and make people laugh.

You were a great member and leader in the MGP, and I will always remember how you shined when you played your solo on the field during our senior year.

I have been blessed to have known you.
You will truly be missed by all.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to...

To the Clouse Family:
2Tim1, speaking of Jesus Christ's victory over death:"- This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.(10)but it has been revealed through the appearance of our savior, Christ Jesus." The glory of Christ Jesus awaits us, guarantee! The time and the purpose may escape us. JB
