Read MoreI was so shocked to hear of Jerry's death. He was our mailman for many years & my dog Joy & I were crazy about him. She would bark at every other carrier, but not Jerry. She loved him. We extend our sympathies to his family & hope he rests in peace.

I was stunned to learn of Jerry's passing. He delivered mail at the company where I work and we always enjoyed a pleasant word or two. I just thought he was on vacation or sick. I will miss him.

I told a guy this morning that Jerry was dead and he said "the Mailman from Parma!" He had not heard Jerry's name in 15+ years and remembered him instantly. Jerry's humor and openness were memorable.
