Not sure what to say?

My first job as a sixteen year-old kid was working with Jerry at the zoo. He was also my math teacher at Kearns high school. He was a great guy, I learned a lot from him, and ended up a math teacher myself. I just retired after 35 years a couple of years ago.

Jerry was such a great co-worker! Easy going, funny, and ready to explain how thingsings worked. He taught me a lot, and I always appreciated his guidance. A great Zoobie! -Rich Hendron

I was working at Hogle Zoo when he took over from Mr. Anderson. He was so easy going in his excellence. Best summer job I could imagine.

He was one of my favorite teachers. Sorry to hear of his passing. Was a great teacher ..

Sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. He was my algebra teacher; and let me draw cougars on his blackboard!

My deepest most heartfelt condolences to Linda, Bryan, Shawn, Amber, Dakota and Chase. Jerry was a warrior in the face of some serious health struggles and yet I never ever heard him complain. You know, I can´t remember when we first met - in a meeting I guess. At least I don´t remember a formal introduction when I came to work at the Zoo in ´03. But soon Jerry and I would become more than co-workers, we became friends and compadres, bonding especially over our shared passion for golf. ...

I just checked my messages and learned about his passing and offer my deepest sympathies to his family. I remember him from the algebra classes when I was a sophomore and junior years and the computer science class I took from him in my senior year, He was a very friendly & outgoing teacher.

I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Jerry, but I wanted to say that his obituary is such a loving, beautiful tribute. I am so sorry for your loss! If only folks would, indeed, take it seriously! My deepest condolences to Jerry's family and friends.

Jerry was my first boss. Working for him at the zoo brought many happy times-I stayed there for 9 years! Sorry for your loss.
