I began my friendship with Jerry when he was working for Diversified Foods. He came to the local plant to resolve an issue they a were having. Being a former police officer he stopped into our police department to introduce himself. Our friendship took off from that moment. He introduced me to Cajun food and I bought him his first non LSU sweatshirt (Nebraska Cornhuskers). I will miss his spirit, friendship, and calls out of the blue just to check up on me.
