Not sure what to say?

On behalf of my family I would like to THANK all of you for the out pouring of LOVE and PRAYERS we have received. We have a long road ahead but with GOD on our side we will be able to carry the wonderful legacy that my father left. P-O-P words cannot express the LOVE and ADMIRATION we all have for you and it continues to grow stronger as each day passes. Our only solace is to know that you have been embraced by the FATHER and that you are no longer suffering and have no more sorrow only JOY,...

Thank God for the life he lived!!
Your family will always be in our prayers.

Condolences...

My heart and prayers are with your family. Jerry was a good friend to my late husband J.W.Washington, and he continued to be a good friend and person to me. Find joy in knowing that Jerry is with our LORD and SAVIOUR and in a better place than us. Prayerfully, Gladys Gaskill Baker

We are deeply sorry for your lost. There was always something special about Deacon Hanks. We all loved him. May you find your strength in the Lord, he will comfort you.

Jerry,

I and your fellow
Huntington High (Class of 1966) friends will truly miss you.
I know that you are rejoicing in your Heavenly home. May God grant peace and comfort to your family.

I was saddened to hear of the untimely death of Jerry. I had the opportunity to play basketball with and against Jerry and I also had the opportunity to work with Jerry one summer at Newport News Shipbuilding. As many have stated, Jerry had a personality that left a lasting and favorable impression on you. To the family, take comfort in knowing that Jerry is now at peace with the Master. Continue to seek comfort in the Lord and carry on the legacy of Jerry Hanks. May Heaven continue to smile...

To the Hanks Family,
My deepest sympathy to you all during this very difficult time. May you find comfort in knowing that
Deacon Hanks, although he is not with you here, his spirit will live on through you memories, and he is in a better place. Be strong in the Lord, and remember to look to the hills for the strength that the Heavenly Father has promised you.

Love, Sandra Alston & Family

My deepest sympathy goes out to you during the loss of P-O-P. Christopher, Sydney and I loved him and will hold fast to our memories and cherished moments we had with him. I'm going to miss him calling me by my whole name and saying to the kids" Thank You Very Much" after given a hug or kiss. I'm grateful to have known him. He has taught me to curtail my complaining and always take care of my family.

God is your stronghold and with him as your guide, you need never be afraid. I...
