Not sure what to say?

Major Harless was my building officer at Carson Long Institute. He was a good officer and friend to all. I understand him to have served at the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir. He was and always will be made of “The Right Stuff”. Tom Sheehan Class of 68.

MAJ Jerry Harless had a tremendous influence on me. He was a good coach. He always pushed me to be a better athlete. He was a dedicated father to his children. TOM '69

Peace be with you friend. Thank you for your contribution to Carson Long. Good teachers are always hard to find but those who teach, instill and make one remember are the best kind. Your dedication will always be remembered

To the Harless Family,

I have many fond memories of my CLI days from 1968 to 1974. Major Harless is in many of those memories for his guidance and leadership. I know he will be missed. God speed to all of you.

Judy, Carol, Tom, & Wayne

I was very saddened to hear of your fathers passing. I grew up and went to school with Judy. Because of that I was luck to have known your dad. He always had a smile and a kind word for me even though I was one of the "town kids". I will also never forget him taking time to play ball with me despite my being handicapped.

God Bless you all during this tragic time. I am sure he is in God's hands.
