You were one of a kind, and one of the great "characters of Payne Avenue." From that booming baritone voice, the "commish of the golf league", to your everyday acts of kindness, I can say that Payne Avenue was a better place for having you as one of our very own.

We'll miss you!

To Kurt, Theresa, Jean and the rest of the Heglund family,
I only knew Jerry a short while, but I looked forward to his and Jean's visits each week on Sunday evenings. My deepest condolensces to all of you during this time of sadness and rememberance. Your entire family are in my thoughts. May you know that "Dad" is in a safe, peaceful place.

Both Cheryl & I are saddened by your Great loss of Jerry; we were honered and blessed to have known him. We always enjoyed our visits, his sense of humor and of course the laughter. I was so happy to have seen him just a little over a month ago at my birthday party. It was a great surprise to have Jean & Jerry show up unexpectedly. The gift of the 1970 prom picture of Cheryl & I will always be cherished. There will never be another Jerry. He was a one-of-a-kind...
