So very sorry for your loss

John Balog USMC

So sad to see this and my heart goes out to Sgt Hoppe's family, friends and Peers. He was my Sgt in jrotc and helped guide me into being the US Marine that I am today. I was there for all 4 of my high school years and went to all the summer camps as well. He was someone I could always look up to and push myself to become more like. I do miss him and look back through those years often as they are the ones that really got me to grow and do more with my life.

SGT. Hoppe was a motivator. I was floored when he suggest I run for school President. I never did but I sincerely appreciated the vote of confidence. A great man who served his community many times over.

I was so grateful for Sgt. Hoppe's presence in my life. He was more than a teacher to me; he was my motivator, cheerleader, and like a dad to me. He taught me to push myself harder than anyone else, and he also stressed the importance of education. I am thankful for him and glad that I was able to attend his service. Rest In Peace to the greatest man I had the pleasure of knowing. You will always be in my heart. Debby Meyer, Canyon High School 1996

I love you, Grandpa. I wish you could be one more day with us.
