Jerry Lee Housley

Jerry Lee Housley, of Shelbyville, died Jan. 14, 2013 at the Hosparus Care Center in Louisville. He was born Nov. 15, 1944 in Taylorsville, KY to the late Claude and Alberta Sapp Housley Sr. Jerry worked as a maintenance supervisor at Highpoint Apartments in Shelbyville and was an accomplished guitar musician. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Betty Kays Housley; three sons, Kevin Housley of Louisville, Jeffrey Housley of Texas, and Bobby Housley of Elizabethtown; two step-sons, Jeff and Tony Kays of Lawrenceburg; 5 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Claude Housley, Jr. of Spencer Co., Larry Housley of Owen Co., Ernie Housley of Nelson Co.; 3 sisters, Dolly Buechele of Spencer Co., Becky Cox of New Albany, IN, and Brenda Jones of Jefferson Co. Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Housley, and two sisters, Joyce Williams and Dorothy Collins. A Celebration of Jerry?s Life will be held at 7 pm Thursday, Jan. 17th at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg. ÿA time of visitation with the family will be from 5-7 Thursday.
