Janet, it has been many years since you were my student at Baker, and I hope you remember me. I was surprised to read of your husband's death in the newspaper and again on the Prayer List at First United Methodist Church where I attend. I just wanted you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'll miss his quick sense of humor. Those conversations in the hall of the Brown-Heatly were often short but meant something to me.

I have great memories of visiting with with Uncle JT, Aunt Hazel, Jerry and Sharon on the farm in Commanche. The times I spent there were some of the best. I am so sorry we didn't get to visit with Jerry after we were grown. He will always be 13 in my mind.

God is not in just one place. He is everywhere. He is with Jerry in heaven and he is with you and your family now.
I am proud to have known him and to have called him my friend.
