Jerry O. Lawrence

We are going to miss seeing Jerry our neighbor. He was a friendly, caring, and he was the sweetest husband to Betty and a wonderful Patriarch to his family. We are so very sorry for the loss to his family. We know he is with his Heavenly Father and Jesus now and we will see him again. Blessings, hugs, love & prayers, Ron & Kathy Crutchfield

I had Mr. Lawrence for sixth grade at Funston Elementary. He was one of my favorite teachers ever. Thanks to the family for sharing him with all of us crazy kids. He is fondly remembered.

Mr. Lawrence was my very favorite teacher at Fredrick Funston Elementary School. He was my 6th grade teacher there in 1975.

He was an incredibly knowledgable and gentle man who loved to deeply communicate his insight and wisdom to us. He taught us to pay attention (something that 11 and 12 year-olds do not naturally do.) He taught us to listen.
He taught us to consider others feelings. I remember him telling us one morning, first thing, that he was not in a very good mood and...
