I just saw the documentary about Jerry on PBS last year. I am sorry to say I hadn't heard of him before. How is this possible? What a talent, what an amazing person! Julie, the love you had for each other was so obvious and so deep. I am so sorry for your loss. Full stop. What else can you say? I hope you get this message. All the best to you. I Loved the Documentary on Jerry Lawson he reminded me respectively of My father the Late Great Rev.James Elder the way he got along with people of any race creed or color. R.I.P ❤

Ì met Jerry lawson at Rockefellers nightclub in Houston Texas in the 1980's
The club doesn't exist anymore but the memories are eternal I got my mom and dad to take me to the show(I have cerebral palsy and don't drive) it was also the first time that my mom had been to a nightclub in 30 plus years but my parents enjoyed the show and every time that the Persuasions came to Houston my mom would say "I don't care what it costs- buy the table " and it became a family tradition at least...
