Mrs. Leggett, it was such a privilege to know and associate with Jerry. The time he and Alan Nobles and I spent together during Pursuing Vital Ministry was truly a blessing. He was one of the best men I've ever had the opportunity to call a friend.

Dear Helen and Kim: My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you. We all have lost a dear friend;
everybody loved and respected Jerry. First Baptist Church has lost a valued member. He is with the Angels now, and I know his friends were happy to have him and welcome him home. Our children send their thoughts and best wishes to you although they were sad to hear of "Mr. Leggett's Homegoing".

Helen,
Let me first say that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of pain and loss. I am one of Joan Lewis' children and I wanted you to know that one of us will be bringing her down to see you at Jerry's service. She always talks about the times you all enjoyed growing up in Carthage. Friends and family are a comfort at times like these.

Dearest Helen and Kim,
I am so sorry for your loss. I am so grateful for the memories I have of Jerry -- of his jokes, his laughter, his smile and his love. I pray that your many memories give you strength today and in the days to come. You are very loved - by so many - and especially by me.
