Not sure what to say?

I am só sorry for learning that my beloved conductor passed away lasr December. I was overseas... American River College. I played cello, with them, for over 20 years. He was my conductor and he was a great, sweet person. I'll always miss him. My condolences to his family, rest in peaceful dear Maestro.

Many respects to the Lopes family. Jerry was a wonderful musician and a great man. A friend to John and Susan Skinner.

Just learned of Jerry´s passing last night.Germaine and family, lots of love and prayers going your way. To this day I still use Jerry´s joke while at a restaurant..."I can´t read this menu, it´s printed upside down"!

It brings me great sorrow that hear of Mr Lopes's passing. I was a student if his at Highlands High School in the 1970's and he was my greatest supporter and truly made a difference in my life. I have always held him close to my heart and feel blessed to have had him in my life. Sending love to his family

I was a student of Mr. Lopes while at highlands High. I went on to have a 30 year career in Music including working with JOURNEY, among many others. I was both Engineer and Producer as well as getting songwriting credit on a few projects. I owe a large portion of that to him. Thank you, Mr. Lopes.

Jerry and Germaine were neighbors where I grew up in North Sacramento. We have kept in touch as we moved on with our lives. I am so sorry to hear of Jerry´s passing and send love, prayers, and condolences to Germaine and The family. My husband recently passed away, so I´m not sure if I´ll be able to make the funeral. I will be reaching out to Germaine soon. (Colleen Todd)

Jerry was my teacher while in high school and my comrade while teaching school. He was also conductor of the adult bands I played with. Jerry added so much fun to performing music. He is dearly missed. Barbara

I loved making music with Jerry through the years. My heartfelt condolences to his family. He will be missed.
