Not sure what to say?

I worked with Jerry at Clackamas County 1973 through 1978. Besides be a kind boss, he was a gentle man and always had an even disposition. Im sorry to hear of his passing.

I remember the time when we were out elk hunting and Jerry managed to light a huge snag on fire in camp one night. It looked like a volcano at night with flames and sparks 10 ft in the air. Always loved all the things he created whittling also. He was a great guy and I'm sorry to hear he's passed. We will miss him and think about him while elk hunting again this year. Condolences to his family.

I have long-time fond and fun memories of Jerry, when I was his secretary in the B&B Dept. at the railroad. My speech is still peppered with "Jerry Marshall-ism" - funny and witty remarks that made a point with a laugh! My condolences - Nancy Dietl

Jerry is my cousin and one month older and I will forever remember his big smile. When we were young I lived at Gold Beach and Jerry and his Mom and Dad and brother George would visit us at the beach. We had great times then. My thoughts and prayers go out to you Sue and your boys. He must have been a light in your lives always. Angels be with you!

As a young teen Big Jerry's impressive stature was intimidating until he smiled, then he was welcoming firendly and warm, He was dedicated to his wife and boy's and it showed. He had a great smile and sense of humor. He liked thing's that go BANG!!I was lucky to have known him for the time that I did. I'll always have warm memories.

Big Jerry was a great presents in a person's life. He took pride in his family as well he should. He raise two outstanding boy's with Sue's help of corse. He had a great sense of humor and he liked things that went BANG!! All of us who knew him as teenagers will remember how his eyes lit up when he was asked to give a demonstration with his home made cannon. We need more people like him in this world and I am sad to see him go. He had a great smile.

I wish I could have met Jerry, a recently discovered relative. He sounds like he was a larger-than-life, fun-loving man. On behalf of the descendants of Bodil Hansine Hansen (Jerry's great aunt in Denmark) in Greater Vancouver, British Columbia, I am sending you our heartfelt condolences. We were going to send flowers for the funeral (a common Danish practice - there they are laid in a long line on the floor of the church and later carried out to the gravesite), but in accordance with your...

I worked at Clackamas County with Jerry. He was a wonderful person and I am so sorry for your loss.

My family lived next door to Jerry, Sue and the boys.I went to grade and high school with his sons-Steve and Jerry. I loved his infectious laugh and fondly remember helping dig the big pond for swimming, planting lots of trees around his property, filling the famous "cannon" with old vegetables to shoot into the air and last but not least, him teaching me to drive his VW Bug. He was a man of many talents and a great mentor to all us neighbor kids. May your memories of the wonderful times you...
