Not sure what to say?

I'm adding another memory, just because Jerry was so special, an angel to my family and me, and there when I was the saddest in my life. He will NEVER be forgotten and is loved, remembered, and in my thoughts oh so often! I can't wait until we meet again. Love Always, Lynn Ellen McCutchen (Mauk) Meredith

Dear Shirley and Family, I have been thinking so much of Jerry lately, and had tried to find out about him when I was last in California in October 2020. I never could find out where he was, or what he was doing. This evening I just found his obituary, and my heart is breaking. I did see him the day he retired, as I was in California visiting my son, and went to the Rolling Hills PO just to see him. It was a fluke that it was his last day. I will never forget Jerry's kindness to my children...

Jerry was my good friend and buddy ,in the Pasadena post office in the 50's and 60's. I worked with Jerry's dad, George and knew his mother florence. Jerry was a great guy and surely will be missed,by all . maybe he is seeing his friend the hammer up there ?

I will always remember Jerry's friendly face and awesome smile at the mail window inside Kelly's Korner. I remember him from when I was a kid at Rancho Vista, and then later brought my own kids by after school from Dapplegray to say hello. Always sharp as a tack and kind as can be, he would ask about our day, listen thoughtfully and share his wisdom. How many people today take the time and genuine care to do that...all during the course of their job? Jerry- you will be much missed, always...

he Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup...

Jerry was my friend for 35 years I will miss him every day of my life

God speed Jerry!
Love,
The Di Leva Family

Such a nice and friendly man. Such a sweetheart. My Father Lou Di Leva would always joke around with Jerry. May he have eternal peace and god bless you!

Growing up in Palos Verdes I would frequent the General Store in the 80's on my bike ride home from Rancho Vista elementary & Dapplegray middle school. Stopping to get candy and talking with Uncle Jerry' was ALWAYS a highlight a great man. We lost a local legend; my thoughts and prayers are with his family and the legions of locals who knew Jerry as a friend. RIP Jerry.
