Not sure what to say?

Happy to be reminded today of Jerry!

I am so pleased to offer these additional words about Jerry "Mur-FREE" (as he would say to people who mispronounced his name!). Many of us believe, though he played a great deal as a Tiger, that Jerry never got his due for his great potential as a Tiger running back. Still, we know that Jerry did get his just due for the loyal, kind, and loving friend that he was! Everyone at LSU who knew Jerry loved him deeply. Rest in piece Jerry you will be missed dearly!! A Banks High School Alum!!! A Family That Prays Together Stays Together!! We All miss you Jerry!!!!!

class of 75, I will never forget you #33!!

My prayers are with with you! I feel Blessed to have been a friend! Jerry was so sweet and kind! He could always make me laugh!

My son Sam (at that time age 4) and I knew Jerry, Zack, Gabby and Janice when they lived in Gulf Shores and he practiced here. Met Tank, Gary and Terry several times and the family love was amazing. Jerry was a very special person with a unique perspective on life and adored by all. He will be missed by Gulf Shores and all of us that were blessed here to get to know him and his family.

I was lucky to have known Jerry (Murph)at Banks High School in B'ham,Al. I considered him a friend.I knew he had been sick but I kept praying for you Jerry.Hopefully our friends will all see you one day. God Bless you and your family.I loved watching you play football at Banks and I remember you at LSU. Susan Graham Reymann

Prayers and condolences to Tank, Mr. Murphree and Jerry's family. My memories of Jerry are cherished: LSU team mates, deckhand on Jerry's luxury houseboat in Lake Charles, very "tight" crew (with Tommy, Spencer, Steve) for Contraband Days Cruise, Cotton Bowl trip... Jerry was loved by so many!
