Funeral services for Jerry John Nelson Sr., 68, who passed away on April 8, 2015, will be held Saturday April 11, 2015 at 11:00AM at the graveside in Evergreen Cemetery Gate 5, 4535 Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206 with Pastor Perry Fruscella officiating. The family will receive friends Friday April 10, 2015 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Nelson was retired from Iron Workers Local Union #597. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Linda Nelson; son Jerry Nelson Jr.; brother Jon Nelson and several other family members. Jerry had many friends and enjoyed fishing and helping people in need. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main St. Jacksonville, FL 32206.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always. I lost my husband 2 months after Linda passed. It is really hard living without your spouse. I will keep the family in my prayers.
