Not sure what to say?

Jerry conducted my first ever storm spotter class! After I became a meteorologist, I then had the occasional opportunity to interact with Jerry on a professional level and was always appreciative of his assistance and professionalism. The NWS lost a great WCM with Jerry's passing.

Its a pleasure for me to say nice things about Jerry. Because they all are true. Like everyone else the sudden passing of Jerry was a shock, but Our Lord needed him so he is now in Heaven with God. Jerrys wife Patricia is my Aunt. I call her "tree" a nickname of course. Jerry was so much like my former husband that passed almost to the day 4 years ago. Im sure that they are having very interesting conversations together now. God has two special friends now to keep him company. Take...

When people talk about "all around good guys" Jerry was someone who fell into that category. Because of that, I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to able to work with Jerry on Storm Data and warning verification for the last 9 and a half years.

When I found out that Jerry had colon cancer, I was shocked and saddened. I had just lost my best friend, Uncle Charlie to colon cancer just a few months prior. Cancer had stricken another one of the "good guys" in my life. ...

Jerry taught storm-spotter class that I participated in. He was a great person. Prayers go to the family. I'm sorry for your loss

One of my best of the Christmas party was Jerry. He always wore that Santa hat. I was shocked when my dad told me about him passing. I am truly sorry for your loss.

We at the NWS office in Nashville were all shocked at Jerry's passing. We knew he had been sick, but we were hopeful of his eventual recovery and return to work in the not too distant future.

Jerry and I arrived at the office nearly at the same time back in 1994 as I remember it, when the office was starting to gear up to become a full-fledged forecast office for Middle Tennessee. We both assisted in the so-called office "spinup activities" to become a forecast office. ...

Patty and family, our thoughts and prayers are with. It was a great pleasure knowing and working with Jerry, both as a co-worker for 13 yrs. in CRW and 14yrs. as WCM in the Srn Rgn. My easy going friend, keep an eye on us!

I met Jerry about 30 years ago when I went to work as a secretary at the Charleston, WV, Weather Forecast Office. I felt very uncomfortable in my new job, but Jerry made me feel welcome by being so friendly and nice. I couldn't have been more pleased when, later, he and my sister met, fell in love, and got married. He has been a terrific brother-in-law. I will miss him and the good times we all shared.

I am very sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. We had the pleasure of meeting Jerry a few times he was a good man & he will be missed!
