On Wednesday, October 16, 2019, Jerry D. Peters — a loving husband, father, and grandfather — passed away at the age of 76. Jerry was born November 3, 1942 to Mildred and Howard Peters of London, Ohio. On October 23, 1971, Jerry and Brenda were wed and shared their lives together until Jerry's death, just short of their 48th anniversary. They had one daughter together, Lori, with whom they are incredibly close. Jerry worked many years in the automotive industry as a service manager and body shop manager. Outside of work, Jerry enjoyed auto racing and classic cars. He was also fond of computers and, in his free time, you could find him building and upgrading them. Jerry was an avid fan of the Ohio State University Buckeyes football team and never missed a game! Jerry and Brenda retired to Palm Coast, Florida in 2012, where they were able to live an active life together filled with sunshine. Jerry loved spending time with his family and dogs, traveling, going out to eat, and watching movies with his granddaughter, Emmalee. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Howard, and his mother, Mildred. He is survived by his wife Brenda, daughter Lori Peters (Clarence Holbrook), sweet granddaughter Emmalee Holbrook, brother Larry (Karen) Peters, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jerry was loved by many who miss him dearly. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 6 o'clock p.m. at the Church of the Messiah located at 51 N. State St., Westerville, Ohio 43081. Visitation will take place at 4:30 p.m, just before the memorial service.

Brenda, We can't even imagine what you are feeling. You and Jerry were always so close. Best friends and a great team. You were two halves of a fantastic whole. He was always so much fun! That quick wit and hilarious sense of humor will not be forgotten. We will always remember him with a smile as will so many others. He was a truly good man who was well loved. Brenda, you were both his keeper and guardian angel, without whom Jerry would not have had his last few years of life. You truly...

So sorry Brenda and Lori. No one knows the pain you feel. I will always remember a gathering we had where Jerry said "Brenda is my angel". You took such good care of him and he was strong and a fighter. Jerry is at peace now, no pain, no sorrow. You both will see him again. Love you both and family too.
