Jerry W. Ptacek, 80, of Lemont, passed away July 3, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. A proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam Era.
Survived by his wife, Connie, nee Luczak, Ptacek; his children, Corrine Ptacek, Jeannine (Joseph) Kearney, and Collette (David) Oprondek; and his grandchildren, Sean, Kevin, Joe, Norah, Mick, Claire, and Charlie.
Jerry loved photography, was a member of the Lemont Lions Club, and served as a Trustee for the Village of Lemont. He was very fond of his Old English Sheepdog, Mitzie. He had many friends from town and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation Friday, July 14, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C., 108 Illinois St., Lemont. Funeral services Saturday, July 15, 2023, 10 a.m. from the funeral home to SS. Cyril & Methodius Church for Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org
