Jerry "Pitt" Rabenberg

Jerry "Pitt" Rabenberg, 64, of Oglesby died Monday afternoon, August 6, at 1:51 p.m. in OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday in the Prey-Mueller Funeral Home in Oglesby with the Rev. Mike Smith, of Christ Family Foursquare Church in LaSalle, officiating. Burial will be in Section Cemetery in Miller Township where full military rites will be conducted. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Rabenberg was born on June 14, 1948 in Aurora to Louis and Ethel (Gladstone) Rabenberg. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was employed at Mid-American Growers in Granville. He married Susan Latty on September 17, 1997 in Ottawa. Jerry was an avid golfer and a Cubs and Bears fan.

He is survived by his wife, Susan, his mother of Apache Junction, Arizona, one daughter Megan (Tom) Leszczynski, of LaSalle and two sons, Ben (Mary) Bentley of LaSalle and Justin Bentley of LaSalle, five grandsons, one sister, Judy (Tim) Zbinden, of Hampshire, Illinios, and one brother, Jim (Tammy) Rabenberg, of Eagle River, Wisconsin, and his beloved dog, Harry.

He was preceded in death by his father.
