Not sure what to say?

Far from gone! The angel of jazz inspiration. That love never dies. That´s you ,and I´ll carry it with me forever, Jerry

I first met Jerry at Camp Golden Eagle when I was 10 years old and he was a camp counselor. One evening he performed Rhapsody in Blue for the camp. It was an amazing performance and I have loved that Gershwin piece all my life because of Jerry. I never saw him in Cincinnati but many years later I was living in Dallas. We were out to dinner and I was certain he was there with his wife. So I walked up and introduced myself and sure enough that's who it was. He was a gentle soul and a wonderful...

Jerry lives on in me. The man who introduced me to bill Evans Oscar Peterson ... jazz. I´m now the same age as he was on passing. We live on in the message and love we share. Jerry´s in the house!!

Gone too soon. A wonderful, talented and generous man who loved his family very much. He is missed.

Hey Jerry, I was just thinking of you tonight while listening to jazz. I love jazz and that's in part thanks to you.

I took piano lessons with you for so many years when I was a kid. (Now I'm 32!) You taught me a lot and you were always a kind presence and good friend. Not just to me but to my brother Ryan and my mom Cindy too.

Love from all of us. I hope you're playing some amazing afterlife jazz and that your family is well.

P.S. Guess what? I just found...

Jerry, I was thinking about you today. I am 50 years old now and was a student of yours 30 years ago in Dallas. I still play a little, and I am relearning my jazz theory. I will always remember how much you loved Jazz. I wasn't the best student, but your passion for music was always appreciated. You could decode any song by ear which was amazing. God rest your soul my friend.

Yes as you celebrate Jakes Bar Mitzvah we remember the loss of such a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and successful musician. Thinking of you all as you remember and celebrate. Marion, Roger and Naomei

Jerry Samuels is the most musical pianist of his generation
and like my brother since I met and played with him at U.N.T. in the 1960's. My bass notes were always influenced by his grace, and harmonic richness!

He is now being booked for Heavenly "gigs" by both Moses and Jesus.
