It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jerry Lee Strambler, who departed from this world on January 4, 2024. He was born on October 9, 1962, to the loving embrace of Alexander and Bessie Lee Strambler in Midland, TX. Jerry was a cherished member of the Midland community throughout his life, having attended Midland Lee High School and remaining a steadfast resident.
On June 16, 1990, Jerry united in matrimony with the love of his life, Letha Strambler, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey together. Their bond was a testament to love and commitment, creating cherished memories that will forever endure.
Jerry's spiritual life was anchored at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, where Pastor Michael D. Wheeler guided and inspired him. He was an active member of his congregation, embodying kindness, warmth, and a profound sense of camaraderie. Jerry's impact on others was immense—his sociable nature meant he never encountered a stranger, and his infectious smile brought joy to countless lives.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Alexander and Bessie Strambler, along with six brothers: Willie Lee, Bobby Ray, Farris Lee, Charles Ray, Allen B., and Teddy, as well as a sister, Margie Goodley. Jerry's memory lives on through his cherished wife, Letha Strambler, and their children: Andre Strambler (Azchia) of Lewisville, TX, Jerry Jr. Strambler (Kiki) of Midland, TX, and Tiere' Strambler of Cypress, TX. Two brothers, Alexander Strambler (Jackie) and Marcus Strambler of Midland, TX and three sisters, Gladys Thompson of Big Spring, TX, Gracie White (Tommy), and Hattie Tennon of Midland, TX.
Jerry's legacy extends through the love he shared with his eight grandchildren: Ziah, Semaiah, Janiya, Jerry III, Nehemiah, Raysean, Kirstin Jr., and Leah, each a testament to the love and joy he brought into their lives. He is also remembered fondly by a host of extended family members, nieces, and nephews, who will carry forward his spirit of kindness and love.
Jerry Lee Strambler will be dearly missed but remembered with immense love and admiration. His kindness, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for his family and community have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A funeral service will be held at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church located at 1801 N Carver Street, Midland, TX 79705 on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 10:00am, where friends and family will come together to honor and celebrate the remarkable life of Jerry Strambler. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 6pm to 8pm at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home.
May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to be a source of comfort and strength to all who knew him.
