Funeral services for Jerry Lynn Swallows, Sr. age 61 of Cookeville, TN will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 1:00p.m. from the Chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held from 12:00noon till time of the service on Saturday. Mr. Swallows will then be cremated

Mr. Swallows passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Jerry was born on December 12, 1963, in Putnam County, TN to the late Charles Walter and Betty Ann (Griner) Swallows. He worked as a Medical Lab Tech and additionally served in the United Sates Army.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his Grandmother: Bessie Mae Griner; and Brother: James Kevin Swallows.

He is survived by three sons and daughters-n-law: Kent (Jamie) Ashburn, Jerry L. Swallows, Jr. & (Christy); and Charles Tucker Swallows all of Cookeville.

Daughter: Lynslee Brooke Swallows of Cookeville

Sister: Wanda Ann Swallows Otto of Cookeville

Companion: Janna Woodard

8 Grandchildren: Devon Blake Ashburn, Nea Ashburn, Avaree Ashburn, Paisley Ashburn, Mckensley Ashburn, Lane Ashburn, Andy Ashburn, and Mason Swallows.

1 Great Grandchild: Jeremiah Ashburn

Nephews: Dakota Swallows and Jeremiah Johnson

Niece: Alisha Swallows
