A bright light has been extinguished. We mourn the loss of Jerry Van Deelen, due to complications from diabetes. He was born in Kingsburg, CA. He moved to Manhattan's lower east side where he created JERRY STYLE. He loved his family, friends, colleagues and his pets...and beauty for it's own sake.

I worked with and for Jerry in NYC during the late 1980's. I came from an advertising background, on the creative end - but it wasn't until I worked for Jerry that I felt truly inspired. He was so very creative with ideas bounding in his head. I am so glad I had the opportunity to know him. He will be missed. I am certain he is patina'ing something in Heaven right now.
