I served with COL Wible in the Army Reserve unit, the 313th HUS. Though I was senior enlisted and he was an officer, I never knew him to be anything but kind and professional. I served as an Army Medic, Chaplain Assistant, and Career Counselor, and one of the Docs I admired the most was Jerry. He is missed by many, and I will never forget his smile, and encouragement he gave to all of us.

I was in the 313th Hospital Unit Surgical with COL Wible for many years. He loved going to the field and pitching tents. Though he was a doctor, he would sweat along with the rest of us and he LOVED it. I did hundreds of officer evaluation reports and his faithful secretary Marlene would make sure he signed them in the right place and send them back to me on time. He was always willing to serve at any level. A true hero!
I will truly miss him!
