Jonesboro- Jerry Edson Williams Sr., 63, passed away Friday, October 3, 2008 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. Born in Jonesboro, August 8, 1945, he was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Ft. Smith. Jerry was an Army veteran and served in Vietnam. At the time of his death, he was employed with O�Reilly Auto Parts. Survivors include his mother, Mary Margaret Williams of Jonesboro; his son Jerry E. Williams, Jr. of Ft. Smith; his daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Matthew Barber of Ft. Smith; a sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Robert Doak of Marshville, North Carolina; two grandsons, Dakota Williams and Sebastian Barber; a nephew, Trent Doak; an aunt, Patsy Dabbs of Osceola; several cousins and a host of friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, George E. Williams Jr. Funeral service will be Monday, October 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2008 at the Gregg Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Pallbearers will be Willie Dabbs, Don Kennedy, Steve Myatt, Tommy Rhoads, Robert Smith and Dennis Vickers and as honorary pallbearers the employees of O�Reilly Auto Parts. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Walnut Street Baptist Church Building Fund, 1910 Scenic Road, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401 or to a charity of the donor�s choice.
