Jess V. Boyer, 47, of Topeka, passed away Monday, September 21, 2009 at his home. Jess was born on October 16, 1961 at Lawrence, Kansas the son of Carl and Charlotte (Fidler) Boyer. He worked at Kaw Area Technical School for several years as a maintenance man. Jess was preceded in death by his father Carl Boyer. Survivors include his mother, Charlotte Wolfe and step-father Calvin Wolfe; two sons, Carl Boyer and Jesse Boyer; a daughter, Tabitha Boyer; a brother, Clayton Boyer; two sisters, Candice Wilkins and Jeanice Bloom; and two grandchildren, Aliyah Boyer and Michelle Kennedy. A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Topeka First Assembly of God located at 500 SW 27th, Topeka, Kansas in the North Building Chapel. Davidson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Tabitha, Carl, and Jesse Jr. We were so saddened to hear that your dad passed away. I had just seen him ,Carl and the baby in Wal-Mart a few weeks ago. I seen them at Gas and shop too. I just found out today and was very shocked. I love you all and you are in my prayers and thoughts. Your dad is in a better place now, but we will all remember him as good ole Jesse. Come see me at work if you need to.
