I worked with Jess here at the Santa Fe Bulding here in Amarillo and when we got transferred to Topeka Ks. He worked in the Rates Dept in Amarillo and Topeka and he and Irv Klinger Jim Quisenberry "Quiz" as we called him Jim Lancaster Kem Lunn and many others who would give me all sorts of heck but in a good way!!! Jess was a great friend, a great man, and, more than anything a great Christian. I loved talking to Jess and hearing his stories. I always enjoyed hearing Jess play the piano and organ. The last time I saw Jess he told me about playing the new pipe organ at First Presbyterian Church. He said that you'd better not have a full bladder when you sit down at that thing, because those pedal tones will get you. He also had an amazing sense of humor.

Jess was a very talented and funny man. I loved listening to him play the piano at church. He would always joke in choir. He had a beautiful voice as if angels were coming out. He always carried a bottle of water with him wherever he went. He always had a smile on his face. He always talked great things about his wife and loved her dearly.
