I worked with Jesse for several years at Oakland Center. To me, Jesse lived with such open pleasure. Working in close quarters as we did many folks would come and go and I hear him greeting others with genuine joy, in a way that made them feel valued. I had the great pleasure of working with Jesse at Oakland Center for 18 years. I can't even begin to count the number of times Jesse made me laugh or smile. It was every time I saw him.
